Blower Problem
Blower Problem
Drove to class today, stopped the car, shuter down and heard this noise like my AC was blowin, well at first I thought it was just something from the plant I parked next to, but I got and it was my AC. Even after I had turned the car off the blower was still going. So I unplugged it and went to class. Drove home afterwards, plugged it back in and it stayed off this time. So it's workin right now, but what the heck made it stay on in the first place, don't want to have to unplug it every other time I go some where so what could it be?

Ohh crap ...LOL, I had the same friggin problem!! Man, let me tell you it became a nightmare (not to scare you) anyway...its going to get worse. The problem is the "switch" that controls the A/C functions...like on, vent, high /low , etc. It is located directly behind the panel and make life easy and replace it ASAP. Its a black circular piece about 3" in diameter. it really helps to get to it if you pull the radio out for some more room and visibility. Mine eventually self destructed and started to burn...almost burned my damn car down.

Alice,
Check for burning/welding of the contacts in the High Speed relay for the blower:

Sorry guys, been away for awhile, let me give ya a little more info on this problem, maybe narrow it down between the relay and the switch.
So I pulled the fuse under the dash, and it stopped right, no surprise, put the fuse back in, didn't come back on. That is till I switched the AC on and off, and then it stayed on. So I'm thinkin it's the switch, but I really don't know. Whata ya think?
Oh and do I need to go to a dealer to get the switch or the relay?
Thanks
