Relays: help!

My starter us having problems, and I think it may be in the relay, but I'm not sure. When I try to start my car, the solenoid engages, I can hear the clicking, but it won't turn over. Most of the time the solenoid won't even engage, and a relay located behind a panel right on the drivers side near the pedals will start buzzing. I thought myrelay had just blown so I bought enother one, but it started doing it again about a week after I put the new relay in. I got a new starter too, but I'm still having problems. Does anyone know what may be the matter?

I don't know if the link will work, but on Napa, it's part # AR136.

Start with the basics first

Have you checked your battery? A clicking relay sugests that there is enough power to power the relay, but not enough to turn the starter,

from this, you said that you have replaced the relay, could the starter be engaged? ie stuck?

Check your battery cables! They cause a lot of these problems and are cheap to replace. First I'd take a voltmeter and check the voltage at the battery from post to post. Then check the voltage at the starter. If there is a big difference, it's your cables. If not, your solenoid maybe getting worn out. Most auto parts stores will check your starter for free. Definitley worth the time and the price....free!
