With the headlights off, should your interior lights come on when you hit the break. Even with the key out of the ignition this happens. I replaced the remote dimmer recently. Is this normal?

Did you happen to re-wire the dimmer because of burnt wires? I've had dimmer switches completely burn up on me before and burn out lights, but I've never ran into a problem like yours where they turn on.

All I did is replace the remote dimmer. It is a direct plug in. I could have touched or bumped something I guess. I noticed that the parking lights and interior lights go on when I hit the brakes. Even when the key is out of the ignition this happes.
