How do I get my wipers to work?

I have an 83 Trans Am but I used an engine wiring harness from an 84 Z-28. The only problem I have is how to wire up the wiper motor. The wiper motor from the car has seen better days soIm not even sure what the connections are supposed to look like. I have the 84 Z-28's wiper motor but it won't bolt up to the firewall right. Is there a way to make the Camaro harness work with the Trans Am wiper motor? Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance.

They should be the same. My 84 camaro & 87 'bird have the same motors. Are you sure you have the right one?

I'm using an 87 firebird harness on my 83

I found that the 87 wiper motor doesn't bolt up to the fire wall. I think it may have to do with it being the fluid pump for the (no x-nayed) rear wipers.

I'm doing a search on wiper wiring trying to fiquire out which wires do what. So far nothing relates to the 83 motor wiring.

The wires i have on the motor are:

Blk/gry
grey
Blk/violet
green
pink

someone played with the motor previously, it has a ressiter stuck in it.

the 87 harness has:

Pink -supposed to be washer pump or delay
yellow -unknown
grey -low
green -park

I seem to be missing purple = high it probably the yellow.

Haynes says this (i'm bad at reading these):

Pink=delay
Dk green = mist
grey=low
purple=hi

It's snowing, I gotta fiquire this out NOW

I'll post what I fiquire out, for the next guy searching for these answers
