Resister codes??

About how many resister codes are there for the auto theft deterent. Just wondering how long it would take an auto thief to crack it at 3 min between trys with a resistence generator.

I think there are only 9 or 10 total resistance values. However they are not standard EIA values. By resistance generator I suspect you mean a resistor substitution box. Problem is there that they use EIA values also and the VATS decoder does not allow much range on either side of center value. How long to rip it off, who knows. Even the cops admit the really experienced guy's are a step ahead of them.

But even then there is a 3 min waiting between trys so that makes total car stealling time 30 min, LOL I doubt anybody wants a Camaro that bad.

A decade box wouldn't have that problem.

If someone knows what they are doing they'll clip in an oscillator to the ecm and then it's bye bye.
