heres the deal i put a new intake an carb on the car which meant pullin the distributor but dumb *** me didn't mark it so when i went to put it back in i brought the motor up to tdc on the 1st cyl. not exactly how close cuz i used the dampner to eyeball it with.then took the cap off and check where the rotor was and proceded to put the wires on 18436572 clockwise and when i tried startin the car it ran like **** sounded like it had a cam and backfire through the carb bad when i gave it some gas.need help my beretta threw a rod and i need to get this on the road any info would help thanks

Put the #1 cyl @ TDC on the compression stroke - both valves are closed - & then point the rotor just before the #1 wire (a bit toward the #2 wire). Cyl #1 is on the drivers side @ the front & 3,5,& 7 are also on the driver's side.
