Two glitches

I have two questions. 1) My "flash-to-pass" dosen't work on the headlights. The headlights work, the brights work, but I cannot flash them, either with the lights on or off. Does the thirdgen camaro even have that option? 2) when I turn the car to run, to check the dash lights, the temp light dosen't come on. But, when i actually start the car, the temp light comes on with the other lights, and then goes off, with the other idiot lights. Is this also normal?

Third gens did not have the "flash" option, that I am aware of - you actually have to pull the multifunction lever twice (or push the high beam button twice on a Berlinetta with digital dash) to flash the high beams. The temp indicator light (or gauge) only illuminates (or goes to full scale) for functional testing when the ignition switch is in the start position.

Hi Guys -

(only) The Berlinetta has "Flash to pass" functions,.... It's activated when the cars headlights are OFF and the high beam is pressed one time. The high beams will flash one time ( Yet another feature exclusive to our Berlinettas ! ) If the headlights are acvtivated then the high beam button acts as a "ON/OFF" switch like the Camaro.

I "regular" camaro's - the headlamps must be ON in order for the high beams to work at all. (no flash to pass !)

Well, that sucks! Oh, well, not really a big deal. One of these days I need to read my owners manuel. Yes, you read right. My '84 Camaro still has its origional owners manuel!
