have wiring problem... i think

my left front turn lamp is extra bright and doesnt blink when i turn on the blinker, the right one works fine though. i asked someone and he said most likely something is grounded out. has anyone ever had this problem and could you help? if something is grounded out, would there be a good place to start looking? any help would be much appreciated. thankyou

check your left rear turn bulbs, if one or more of them is out it will stop them from flashing and could make the front bulb brighter.

Change the brighter globe. The filament has fused itself making it shorter , this usualy happens with cheap globes. This can happen when you go over a bump etc. You can try this with a globe connected to 12 Volts and then flick it with your finger when its hot and you either break the filiament or it can fuse itself shorter. this usually makes it brighter.

With the lights off, does the turns signal work dimly and/or does the signal indicator in the car work ?
It's not all that difficult to put a dual element bulb in backwards (seems more common to do in the tail lamps for some reason). If the 'signal' element is lighting for your 'park' lamp, you'll never see the signal flash unless the lights are off. That's just a guess though...
