Is there a main circuit beaker?
Is there a main circuit beaker?
The reason I ask is because my tach will start to jump and twitch up and down untill all power cutts out. No juice to anything. Eventually , up untill today, the power comes back and I am fine for a while
If there is a main circuit breaker, what would cause it to shut off after my tach wiggs out.
And where is this supposed circuit breaker located?
Thanks, I am stumpped
btw ( Cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and battery are all new)

All power to loads is routed through 3 fusible links from the large lug on the starter and there is also a fuse or fusible link from the + terminal on the battery to power the ECM & fuel pump. The power leads from the starter lug are routed through the bulk head connector @ the driver's side fire wall, except for one, which powers the alternator field.
Thanks TIm. I guess I'll have to just start visually inspectng every inch of wire in order to figure this out.
NO links are blown and the power eventually comes back on
why would all power disapear at once after my tach wiggs out, then come back on shortly after?

When power goes out, use a volt meter to probe the fuse panel & then move back toward the source to see where the break in the circuit is. The fusible links sometimes have an intermittant connection where the short thin "fuse" wire is bonded to the large wire - in the plastic encapsulation.
