interchangable HEI caps,coil, rotor??

interchangable HEI caps,coil, rotor??

ok i was thinking about this...probly a dumb thought but oh well here i go anyways. can i take the cap, coil and rotor from my CC HEI and put it on a non CC hei? i mean... whats the differance in the cap, coil and rotor for CC and NON CC distributors ?

p.s.. i dont have a non cc HEI yet.. thats y im asking!

Yes.... its the same.
I have my non-cc coil and cap off of my vette on the cc-controlled 83 camaro right now. (chasing ignition prob.).About ready to put the vac . advance and non-cc Q-jet on there too.

...so your saying i DONT have to buy a NEW cap coil and rotor set becasue im swapping over to the NON CC HEI ???? :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: my hero!!!!!! then all i need is a recurve kit and im gooooood to go

someone told me to swap over to the external coil casue the incap ones over heat... any one have problems with that? my incap coil seems fine to me!!

I dont have any problems with mine, which is a stock coil. My car is a heat monster too. The only problem I had with the coil was with the accel one that was on the car when I got it.
