I was looking at a TA for parts and on the dash, where the hatch wiper switch should be, there was a switch that had a music symbol on it and said "wave", right next to the button was a slide thing, like a equalizer. What is it? Was it part of the factory audio system? The switch looks factory. I've never seen it before.

 

I have an 85 trans am with that switch. It's for the stock stereo subwoofers. They're really small but it's for them and won't seem to work with aftermarket stereos.
