Accel Ignition Control Module any good?
Accel Ignition Control Module any good?
Hi, I hope to soon upgrade the ignition on my '89 IROC-Z with MSD cap/rotor/coil/and wires. I wanted to also replace the stock module in the distributor with an MSD. After looking for a while I just gave up and figured they didn't make one for my car. So I was looking into the Accel one (part # 35362) for $43.95 at Summit. Is this thing any good because I've heard that Accel products are kind of cheap. Is it worth $43? What kind of performacne gains can I expect, or will it just make the spark hotter/more efficient? And last stupid question: Is it O.K. to mix different brands together like MSD coil, cap, wires and Accel Module? Thanks for the help. -89IRO

My Accel just died after three months use. If you can buy it over the counter at Advance Auto, it can't be very good
