Driver Information Center display is black

My Driver Information Center display is black, any suggestions about what is causing this problem, what fuse shall I check?
Is there some kind of light bulb behind the display, and which is the easiest way to remove the panel and replace the light bulb?
Or do you think that the whole display is broke, is it common?
The Car is a Pontiac Trans Am GTA-88

Thanks

There is a light bulb behind the odometer/trip computer screen. To get to it, you'll have to remove the front dash bezel.

If the lightbulb is working, and the gel display is not.. then that is a whole problem in itself.

Currently, my odometer/trip computer will just keep flashing 888888888888 over and over... if anyone has any ideas on what may be causing it to keep shorting, and not "boot up" correctly, I'd GREATLY appreciate it

Does anyone know the part number for that bulb?

Also, I got the old bulb out and it didn't appear to be bad, but it wasn't lighting up at all. The display is still functioning. Anyone else have this problem?
