Car not starting...
well, replaced the battery and hot wire to the starter, then wham - no power at all when I went to crank it. Like, everything just went DEAD.
Now, I walked away, came back, and my interior lights came on. I'm like wtf? Then I go to crank, everything dies once more.
So now I've pulled the hot wire from the starter, and have taken a closer look at the other two wires there. I'm seeing 3 cylinder type things inline on them, and I'm wondering if they are fusible links? Not only that, but could those 3 be preventing my car from starting?
As well, if I'm correct, how in the world do they get replaced?

Charge your battery. They don't often have a full charge of the store rack. If need be, jump it, and it will start. Take a volt meter to it, if you think this could be the problem. It most likely is.

omfg. Shoot me. The battery sat in my '77 Firebird for about 4 months, and it's still a full charge. But guess what? works LOTS BETTER WHEN YOU REMEMBER TO TIGHTEN THE DAMN GROUNDING WIRE AGAIN!!!
I'm stupid. I'm going to bed.

Just for further edification, those are fusible links. If you manage to fry them, youll lose your starter. You get absolutely no sound, no click, no nothing. When mine went (all of them melted together), I took it to a shop, they charged me for a couple hours, problem solved. Thats not your problem obviously, but thought it would help.
STARTER
mine was doing the same thing except mine was the actual starter. sometimes it would start up sometimes it wouldn't. never hitting the flywheel or anything like that but it is weird. so it is getting replaced pretty quick. usually i can jump it off right away if it dont start or i can pull the posi cable off for about 15 minutes then it starts up
