Reverse sensor in tranny... *** help me.
ok, i have a plug in my transmission that i am assuming is the reverse lights switch. I have seen one of these plug things on many other cars so, i guess im positive thats what it is...
. Anyways, my question is, where is the wire coming out of the socket supposed to go to. I dont have the plug that should go into the socket but i am rtrying to find one so i can get my reverse lights to work.
so i need a plug, then i need to know what i would connect the wires that come out of the plug into.. the fuse box? or the ...?

If you're talking about an automatic tranny, I believe that's for the converter lock-up (ECM controlled). The 'switch' for the reverse lights on an auto is part of the park/neutral switch on the shifter.
A T-5 trans. has a reverse switch on it in the middle of the casing on the drivers side w/2 wires.

On a T5 you should have a blue and green wire (I've seen mine more times that I've wanted so it's easy to remember
). If I remember right, the reverse lights are tied into the turn signal flasher wiring 'turn b/u' fuse. The blue wire comes from the flasher to the switch (on the trany) which closes (completes the circuit) in reverse and the green wire send the power to the b/u lights.
The wiring from the tranny leads to the bulkhead connector (next to the brake booster) and the rest is wired w/in the car (excluding the actual tail lamp wiring at the back of the car)
