CTSY fuse on block blowing out and car won't start!!!!

i go to turn on my car this morning and all this smoke comes out from my steering column and under my dash...I go to check the fuses and my dash is dim too...so the CTSY fuse is blown, I plug a new one back in and pop...it blew again...that happened like 10 times and I unhooked my battery and put a fuse in the CTSY one again and as soon as I hooked the battery up, it blew again...what is this fuse and why won't my car start...please help...I have already looked at all the connections all are fine....AARON

have you checked out your engine bay to see if any wires have melted on your exhaust manifold? it might be one of the starter wires grounding out.

Sounds like you got a short somewhere. Check as much of the wiring as you possibly can, and look for cuts/melts/wear on the cable.
