need help fast! gauge question!`

I am in the process of replacing my gauge cluster and I have come across a big problem. the manuals all say to remove the speedometer cable from the cluster, all I need to do is reach around back and pinch the damned thing. wel, my biggest problem is I have no idea what exactly there is to "pinch" to release the cable and I can't even fit my hand up there to pinch anything in the first place. could someone please explain to me what the hell they mean, it sounds so easy, but it's been giving me a headache cause I've got no clue as to how to take this damned thing out! I can't move it to any place where there is clearance for my hand and there are no pictures of this process ANYWHERE. please help end this frustration and give me straight up instructions!

Reaching the tab is the hardest part if you have less than nimble hands. This may explain it better than I can say it...

yeah, I finally got at that b1tch with a really long screw driver. I could see it when I pushed it out far enough, there was a HUGE bundle of wires in the way, that's why I couldn't reach it for the life of me with my hands. I just pressed the tab flat down with a blade screw driver and it slid right out. an hour and a few scraped knuckles and cut cuticles later I got my new cluster back in and it works great!
