rear hatch motor

I have an '87 IROCZ/28 with a dead hatch motor. I have ordered two from the classified section, and as of yet, still can't get things to work. The latest motor worked when given 12VDC prior to installing it. After installation...nothing! Does anyone have a COMPLETE wiring diagram of this assembly? There are a couple of other posts on here about this, but they don't show COMPLETE wiring. Any help appreciated.

GM doesn't have one for the unit itself and neither do I. All your electrical woes with the unit can be quickly resolved by replacing the striker sensing switch, which includes ALL the wiring for the unit. One screw attachesi to the latch, then plug it ino the reversing switch, pop the relay on it and plug in the red/wht stripe wire and you are done.
