Anybody know where I can find rebuilt headlight motors?
OK my headlight motors on my 91 firebird are shot! Would anyone know of any companies that rebuild head light motors? I am looking for something in the aftermarket but didn't find anything yet. Also I am considering a swap of these. I hear Fiero motors will fit as well i dunno how accurate this is. OR swap with 4th gen Firebird headlight motors? Anybody have any clue if a 4th gen swap will work? I could sure use the advice.
i think late model fieros and also sunbirds use the same motor.
you can get rebuild kits with bushings - which are usually the culprit - for about $10. there are also sites that sell a brass version of the main gear for about $40 each, but most of the time the bushings are so much weaker little damage gets done to the large gear.
i'm actually online to order those kits now, and i've heard it isn't hard at all to repair, but i haven't done it yet.

www.top-downsolutions.com/
there was another fiero-based site that had them, and they may have been cheaper, but not by much and i was too lazy to find it again. i think 2 kits + grease + shipping was $29, it was like 25 at the fiero place
