88 Gm Manual cover an 89

Hello
On Monday Dwils101's 86 project car got delivered to my driveway! He was about half done putting an 89 GTA motor into the 86. Most of whats left is installing the wiring harness which is pretty much a mess. I found a GM manual that is for an 88 Camaro. Does anybody know if this will cover the 89 or if its different? Gonna probly have more questions and be looking for some parts but this is where I am starting. Hope to have it on the road in short order but I probably know how that will work out!
Thanks for your help, you look to be a great bunch of guys!

89's pretty much a bastard year for Camaros. They were halfway through several major changes, and even going between different engine packages had some differences.

Wire colors will be more or less accurate between the two, but locations may or may not be way off.

If you can get a good deal on the manual, it'll get you close enough to get the job done. Otherwise, I'd try to get one more specific to your needs.

Well my needs aren't going to really be covered. If I was told correctly the entire engine harness has been changed. Supposedly the car has even been driven. I haven't gotten it started but it coughs pretty good, I think its just old gas. So where I am is most of the interior stuff is not completed. Found a whole mess of wires that are just wound together, no type of attachment save a little tape. And a bunch of stuff that doesn't seem to have a home. Either just cut off or has a connection but I don't know what its supposed to connect to. So if an 88 camaro diagram will get me close I will be happy!
Any recommendations on parts houses? Looks like I am going to be looking for a few switches and things. Noticed one of the local yards has quite a few F-body's but not sure how they will be on price?
Thanks
