Cb n f-body?
I had one on my '79 T/A and used a magnetic mount antenna that I kept in the trunk when not in use. The actual CB was small and fit into the center console (second gens have both center console AND a REAL glovebox
)
They make some really small CB's now, all the controls are on the Mic, so you can hide the actual raido just about anywhere. Doesn't tempt thieves that way either.

I have a small Uniden mounted in the console, where the ashtray would go. It took some cutting on the plate to get it to go, but my console was already cracked, so I don't feel bad about it. Put a small clip for the mic on the bottom of the dash.
I'm using the thru-the-glass antenna kit from Radio Shack. It looks like an old school cell phone antenna. I mounted it a the top of the rear hatch, so there's only a couple inches of wire showing.
I have a pic of my console somewhere on the boards, but I can't find it untill the search is back up.

i just took out my stereo and drilled a couple of holes for the bracket on the side. for my antenna i used an adapter to hook into my radio antenna. worked pretty well for what i need and didn't have any sratches in my paint. and best part is when you take it out you can't see the holes because of the carpet.
