just go to any parts store and get a 3 or 4 wire O2 sensor from something GM.
my 98 S-10 has a 4 wire, and some older S10s around 94ish had 3 wire I believe.
They're kinda some $$$ but they last much longer than regular non-heated O2 sensors

O² sensors have to be at a certain temperature in order to read correctly. Single wire sensors rely on exhaust gas to heat it. On cold starts, this can take a little while, and the whole time your car is operating in open loop mode. The main benefit is that you can shorten that time, but, you have to have the complimentary PROM programming to go with it. All the heated sensor does is make sure the sensor is hot so the ECM can go into closed loop sooner. The computer will still take the same amount of time to get into closed loop if you don't tell it otherwise. So you're wasting your time and money if you get a heated O² sensor thinking it will be some magic mod or cure for some problem.

well i want to take my smog pump off and since it directs air into the manifolds and the cat to compensate for the extra gas during open loop, i figured with a heated sensor that it would help the engine go into closed loop sooner and the computer would be able to have the correct mixture sooner.

AC-Delco # AFS105 is a heated sensor for a 98 Blazer. It should have the same threads as the single wire. I would argue about the heated types lasting longer. The heated variety costs about double what a single wire unit costs. Before you remove the AIR pump, do you have emission testing? Even if you are exempt as I am they still inspect in most areas for the presence of all required components. As I ponder this, methinks that the heated variety may have the heating element timed. You may want to look into this before you drop the bucks. I remember seeing somewhere that they heat the element up only until the coolant temp reaches a certain point then the heat from the exhaust gas keeps it functioning. Just a thought as I sit through this blizzard.

here in va we only have visual inspections, and they very rarely if ever even open the hood, all the do is check for a catalytic converter, thats it. Thanks for the info guys
