Car dies after 5 minutes, is it the Computer??

I get the car running and after 5 minutes the car shuts off and the engine light comes on. I can crank the engine over but it doesnt start. I have to wait 5-10 minutes later and try agian then it starts, and again the car shuts off and the engine light comes on. Does this sound like a computer problem?

When cranking the engine over and it not starting have you checked for spark and fuel? Just trying to get a diagnosis going here.

Nope. Now if the check engine light came on THEN the engine died, I would suspect the computer or a related sensor. With the key on and engine off (even if it just died) the CK Eng light is supposed to be on.
