left front blinker

left front blinker

My left front blinker all of a sudden doen't work. switch bulbs not the answer. Also my blinker indidcator for that same side isn't working either. rear blinker works. Is there a freakin short?

Car: 86 iroc, 87 iroc, 89 iroc, 89 formula, 84 supra, 85 trans am
Engine: t\a motor 355 lt1 intake, t56,the works, 89 roc 427 sbc tt project
Transmission: to many to list
Axle/Gears: 9bolt 4:10 in the T/A
start by testing with a test light to see if the signal is getting to the socket. then test to see if you have a ground. if you find that you are missing one of the signals at the socket, probe the wires just before the socket to see of the signals are getting to the socket but no getting through. if you still lack the signal at the wire just before the socket, then you need to follow the wires back the the point in the main harness were they t off, and check to see if wires are broke. if it checks out, follow them back to the firewall checking that you have the signals making int throgh at every connector. if you are lead all the back to the turn signal switch conecctor under the dash, then you may have to see if you lost one of the power supplies, but not likely. more probibal would be that the t/s has gone bad.

follow this and you should be able to find the problem.
