car wont start, its stuck at my work!

car wont start, its stuck at my work!

It snowed a ton last week, and since my alarm hasnt functioned properly but then I went out to my car tonight and everything seems to function like the lights and everything but i goto start it, my cd player shuts off and nothing happens no click or anything, its like i dont have a starter even? what in the world could have happened?

it sounds like it would be the starter (except for the part about the cd player shutting off). when my starter was going out, all i had to do was hit it a few times (with a wrench or hammer) and it would turn over. not sure if you tried that, but i figured i'd throw in my limited knowledge here to try and help.

Neutral saftey switch stuck/broke??? you cd player should shut off whe you turn the key to allow the starter to have as much power as possible. If it froze or something weard and got stuck in the clutch not in, or not in P or D mode postion, than you would get that eaxact result. Hope this helps
