i need help on this one.........

ok....my trouble is....when i start the car...my voltage gauge isn't reading true till i rev the car up to 1750 rpms.....then it works and i get this annoying buzzing sound that i traced to underneath near the fuse box area,,,,so far it has killed 2 optima batteries and i can't seem to trace the problem...the alternator is charging the battery and works...........sometimes too the sound will go away when i hit a bump and come back after i hit another bump.....is there any type of relay in this area under the dash near the fuse box that may be going out......or maybe do i have a bad connection/ground down in this area to be causing this problem.....???????....anyone have a clue?

well it could be that your alternator has a bad voltage reg and is over-charging your battery. this happened on my 64 jag a while back.

also, if it makes noise over bumps, look under your dash for any loose wires. these could be hitting something metal and grounding out.

im not an electronics kind of guy so dont take my word for it. im just telling what i know. lord give me knocking problems, lord give me fuel problems, lord even give me tranny problems, but lord please dont give me electrical problems....

good luck

i traced the buzzing sound to a choke relay....now would this cause the problems with it no getting full charge without revving the motor up?
