Simple Question (I think . . .)

Hi. Just got my engine back in the car - my problem is the motor won't crank. The battery is brand new, only 2 days old, and turned the motor over fine at first. I wasn't getting any spark and through trying to find the problem (which turned out that the coil was bad) I drained the battery. We tried jumping it but it still won't turn over. You can hear the started click. I got fed-up with it and quit. Anyway, my question is what do you think the problem is? I checked the battery terminals and they are clean and tight. Thanx.

POSSIBLY a shorted battery cable. Happened to me.
