Car turns but wont start!

I have a 85 z and i just did some rewiring with the ingnition wire from the starter and also another red wire (?). The car was running fine after that, then i went to start it and all it does is crank and the gauges are all working but it wont start. Need help plz

Thnx, but i think i might need a new computer for my car. when i turn the key nothing happens, also the check engine light doesnt come on and the fuel pump doesnt prime or make any noise at all. its like the car is dead but there is still power????? I am confused any other suggestions

I don't know where it is located on your car, but try finding the fuel pump/ ecm fuse. It will cause the problems you described. On my 87 iroc it was about 6 inches away from the battery zip tied to the fender. And it was in a black capsule, so you won't know there is a fuse in there unless you open it up. I think it is a 20 amp fuse btw. Hope this helps good luck

Axle/Gears: 3.73 10 bolt
it sounds to me like it is an ecm fuse that is causing that problem (good fuse to pull out when you don't want anybody to steel you car) the ecm fuse should be the a 10amp fuse on the top right coner of your fuse box. your fuel pump fuse shoud be next to your battary up aganst the weel well, hope this helps.
