Scanner Power Wire Install

Hi I recently got a scanner from a friend of mine, used of course, didn't give me any manual on it either. I want to power it like the radio gets its power. Here's what I want to happen...

1.) When the car is off, and no key in ignition, the scanner does not get any power.

2.) When the car is in the ACC. position, the one where you turn counter clockwise to turn on the radio only, I want the scanner to get power as well.

3.) Finally, I want to the scanner to be on, when the car is on.

I'm clueless as where to wire the darn thing, my friend had it as constant power to the battery, but I don't want that. What should I do, I read something about the fuse box, but when I open it, all I see is fuses, and no where to connect any wires. Where do I connect the wire to acheive my 3 goals. Pictures would be helpful too. Also, anyone else have a scanner like this, where is it mounted? I would like to keep my radio. Thanks for the help.

By the way, the scanner is an older Radio Shack unit from 1998 Model PRO-2066. Also, I want to run the antenna wire alongside the power wire and remote wire for my bazooka tube, is this safe to do, or should I run it along side the RCA wire side? Thanks again.

you can grab a switched ignition lead directly from the ignition switch harness:

that sounds a wee bit to complicated, don't really want to mess with the ignition wires....can't i just hook it up to the radio ignition wire, not the constant but the one that powers it the way i want to power the scanner?
