battery (most likely), or alternator?

not on my camaro, on my truck... 3.5 years old, "stock" battery... has one of those goofy green eyes on the battery itself, still has some life to it, every now and then a/c, lights, etc. will cause a noticeable drain on the battery indicated on the voltage gauge. it drops way down, to about 9 volts. give it a little gas, and it stabilizes at 13 or so volts. doesn't do it everytime, every once in a while. i'm thinking it's the battery, cuz of the age, but i have to go out of town next week and don't want it to crap out on the wife... thanks...

more than likely battery. I would take it to the place where you would buy another one and have them test the battery and charging system. You keep running it like that for much longer and you might be replacing the alternator too.

The "green" light on abattery is very misleading. That light is in one cell,it may be ok but one of the other cells may not be.Dont always assume is a good battery because of the green light.
