When the tint was removed from my rear window (cheap, crappy, purple, bubbly tint) the rear defroster lines were severly damaged. You can still see the lines in the window, but the metal under the lines was scraped off. Other than a new rear window, is there any way to reconstruct the lines? Thanks

 

JC Whitney offer a replacement kit for rear defrosters. Dont laugh at me please, I only know what I saw on their site.

 

I have seen those as well but, I do believe they are for repairing small breaks (i.e. like a scratch) in the grid only.

 

Check it, I think they sell different lengths of the grid wires as a unit.

 

I checked the sight. It's only for small breaks. I'll have to call the company up and see if they have anything not shown on the sight.
