Oxygen Sensor Question
I have an 88 GTA 5.7L and plan on putting my SLP 1 3/4" headers in this weekend and was wondering what to do with the O2 sensors. I'm also removing the cat and putting in a exhaust cutout. Is this going to effect the o2 sensors at all or should I move them somewhere or just remove them. Need some help
Thanks

Unless you move to a carb and eliminate the ECM, you need them. The O2 is what determines F/A ratio. After the engine comes off open loop the ECM looks for input from the O2 to determine the oxygen content in the exhaust and adjust the mixture. Removing them will cause the ECM to throw an SES light and the engine will run on default mode. They need to be installed or it will run poorly.
