help int lights, ignition

ok first int. lights do not work. replaced headlight switch and still do not work . will check over everything again this afternoon but not sure what else it can be
anyone everhad this prob lem before checked in archive but that got me nowhere

2nd well my i could not start my car with the key so i made a push start button just to bypass the ignition.
i was told by a friend that needed a fuse and a relay for it. ok he also told me that i could tap into the igniton wire going to starter and fuse/relay(that was factory). has anyone attempted this before if so which wire is this. i know one wire would go to that wire going to the fuse block but dont know which color and size.

the ground side would go to the starter which i found that one it is a purple wire.

please help thanks
