A few months ago i was pushing my cigerette lighter in and 5 seconds later i got a whole bunch of smoke from my dash and melted a fuse. It was actualy melted not just blown. I replaced the fuse it blew again so i took my dash off and saw that the wires from my cigerette lighter were Severly burned and melted. They also melted to some other wires but it didnt go thoguh the insulation. So i cut the wires rewired it and hooked it back up the fuse blew again. So today i was installing a EQ so i figured id rewire the lighter to my battary wire for my stereo nothign was wired up to it yet. So i hooked it up and put a new ground wire and ran it to the groun under the dash were 2 grounds go to. SO i pushed the cig lighter in and it blew my ARC fuse"BTW what is the ARC fuse" So i disconected it and said screw it i checked for any metel pices or anythign that would cause the fuse to blow. SO i went to hook up my stereo my stereo would not turn on. IT worked perfectly before. I ende dup haveing to run a new ground. But the cig lighter hwen i hooekd it up had its own ground i made. Any ideas what could cause this problem? I quit smoking so the lighter is no concern to me i jsu tlike to have all my stuff work.

 

I just replaced my ACC fuse that blew as well yesturday and all my lights work except my dome light the bulb looks brand new. My door locks work my rearvire mirror lights work but the dome light wont WTF is goin on with my car

 

Use a multimeter to see if the orange wire is getting power and that the white? wire is grounding.
