Power Locks
I just purchased my car and the power locks don't work correctly. When pressing the button to lock they make a noise sounding like they are trying to lock but don't do anything. When the doors are locked and I press the unlock the lock slides to unlocked but not very forcefully. Thanks for any insight.
check out your lock soleniods..pop off your door panels..and theres a rubber boot on top of the soleniods (or however you spell em) anyway..you can lift that boot..and spray some wd40..or better ..some white lithium grease on em...and grab the linkage with your hand and manually work them for a minute...see if itll loosen them up...if that doesnt work..check to see that they are getting enough juice to them..(bad connections can make them `half work`) if none of that works lube up your linkage everywhere including the lock mechanism..and if that dont work..plan on buying some soleniods. hope this helps
