How would I wire that GAIN button up to a new cd player?

Hi, I own a 86 Trans Am and was wondering what the wire looks like that comes from that GAIN button thats supposedly gives more bass. Well anyways, I want to know if its possible to wire that GAIN button up to a new cd player I'm going to be buying shortly? How would I do it? Thanks for all your help.

only if you are using the auxilary outputs on the head unit to go to an amplifier before the speakers.

the switch can turn on and off the amp.
also the slider can reduce the level of the signal in the rca lines. but however it will be mono.

here's a pic, theres also a thread about the wiring maybe i can find again.

there are no rca cables on the switch, you have to buy some rca cables, cut them and connect them to the switch.
