Bad Headlight motors HELP!

My headlight motors on my 89 Formula dont work. I really wanna know how I can test them to see if they are each infact broken or if its just a wiring problem. Also if they are broekan, how can I check headlight motors at junk yards to make sure there still good?

theyre probably busted... you can check the ones in the junkyard by hooking the junk car up to a battery...

The problem may be with the popup motor assemblies gears. If you turn the **** on top of the assembliy and it feels loose and it doesn't hold the light up then it's not your motors. It is the gears. In which case you just need to get the re-build kit. It will cost about $18.00 and take care of your problem.

If the light motors are tight and it holds the lights up well it may be the pop up power supply box or the motors themselves. However the motors themselves are pretty reliable. They are not likely to break at the same time. If they did die at the same time I would look to the power supply box on the firewall first.

I think there is also a relay for the motors also. If there is you should check that first as well. Theres alot of things you can do to check this problem out before you go throwing down more cash for motors that you might not need.
