could it be whats labeled as light module in this diagram on left side of page ? if so then what does light module do and where it supposed to be mounted on the car ?

part numbers on it:
10018698 648
it is a .5 microfarad capacitor and is mounted to metal near column with a single small black hex head screw..
ideas where the orange wire leading out of the end of it is supposed to go ?? is it for radio ?
GM could not help me, they said its been discontinued and he cant even get a group number on it,,

the answer to this is ................ the plug end on the orange wire clips into the back of the fuse box you will see three blocks in a corner connect it to the ignition feed bottom left corner of the fuse box

I'm not really sure, possibly to eliminate electrical noise since it might interfere with the ecm, thats the only thing I can think of

tt gfor any more possible info, need to find out if is ok to run car without the capacitor
ECM and EST systems are removed, will have sterio in car though, so if its for stwrio interference then please lemme know
or how to find out ?? GM has been zero help at all
