Fan+Starter=Problems
for the last while, whenever i go to start my engine, while the starter cranks, it clicks as if the battery is dead - while turning over, than it fires. last year i had the car die twice on me at an intersection and i was unable to get it going for a few minutes. well, today i pulled out of the bank and i looked my my volt guage and it was down, down about 1/8". i was worried that my alt was dieing, i turned on the lights real quick and the guage dropped another 1/8" by this time it looked as if i was only running 11 volts, but my two digital volt meters said i was in the low 12's on both batteries (stereo/car battery) both relocated to the hatch. so i get to my buddies to check this out and i turn off the car after playing with the RPM's and nothing moved. i went to turn the car on again, but the engine was warm and the fan came on with the key. went to turn over the car and i herd nothign but steady clicking. i stoped and tried again and it clicked a bunch than nothing. i tried the ignition and nothign - i thought i blew a fusable link again. but what happened was a circuit breaker blew that i put on for my car battery that leads to the starter. i flipped that back to on, and the car fired up again. anyone got anything to contribute?
Follow Up
to continue my little adventure...
i pulled into my buddies driveway and hung out for abit. it was time to leave so i go to back out first and my car wont crank. i was like oh f.uc.k i toasted a fusable link again. but i checked and i had lights and ignition. the fuel pump primed and when i went to start there was spike in the voltage. you could see the lights dim as if the car was trying to start. any ideas? i even tried the car in park & neutral to see if the NSS was fuxed.
