Wiring schimatics, HELP!!!!
ok, here's the deal, i have an '85 trans am. the car was originally tpi, and someone made it carb and hacked the h*ll out of the wiring. i dont have wipers, dash lights, oil or temp gauges, and my headlights dont always come up and down like they shoud. i have been trying to solve the problems with a chiltons book, but according to it, there is no tpi cars untill '86, and the wiring diagrams they have, i can't follow.
so i was wondering, does anyone know where i could find some UNDERSTANDABLE schimatics. and allso, i just got another parts car, it was a fuel injected v6, not sure what year, is any of the wiring between the two interchangeable, because it would be really nice if i could just plug in some new harnesses and go from there? Thanx in advance, and sorry for the long post.

Get a GM shop manual for your year car. More schematics than you can shake a stick at.

according to that website, for cars prior to 1994 the wiring shematics are sold separate from the shop manual, but all that they have for my car IS the shop manual. So are there sufficiant diagrams, and mor importantly, routing in theses shop manuals, or do i need to look else where.
Thanx.

Your local Library can be a great source info. Some manuals can be checked out. The best manuals are in the "Reference Section", but you can't take them home.
