i've got a 85 ta, and a wrecked 86 ta. i want to swap the 86 ecm to the 85, because i hear it is more tuner friendly.
reading the tech articles on the main page is confusing.
has anyone else done this?

I did it about as described here http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/ecm_swap/
I did do a couple of things differently, such as no donar harness for the relays (mounted the 2 new relays on the bracket for the MAS that hooks to the ECM) I got relay sockets from pepboys that had about 6-8 inches of pigtail on them (more than enough). I didn't use the crimp on splices (stripped a small portion of insulation from the wire and solidered them together and covered them with heatshrink)
All in all it took about 4 hours, with double and triple checking all repins and connections.
