I barely bougjt myu car with a few electrical problems; the first is that my gauge lights dont turn on Ive followed the wires and everything seems to be good and fuse is good. My other problems is that when ever i turn on my headlights i lose power to my radio, i think these two things are somehow related. And barely yeaterday the fuse to my taillights started blowing its a 20 and they almost melted so i put a 25 and it just snapped as soon i i turned the lights on. ANyone have any ideas or can help my car is a 90 GTA

 

I would start by checking the wiring to your radio and let me know what you find.It sounds like the radio signal wire that makes the radio lights come on with the cars light is ran to the wrong spot.Maybe some kid had the car and had a stereo in the car and decided to keep it so he threw in the radio you have now and he wired it wrong.I would start there,and test the wires and see which ones get power with the parking lights on,which get power in accessories and which are constant.good luck man.

 

on the raido wiring theres two yellow wires ones the constant and one an acc; this seemed kind of strange to me too. there are there wires left a pink one an black one(not a gound i tested it) and a grey on i think one of them is the antena but none have power
