I have an after market 140 amp one wire alternator. I am running a 4 gauge power wire straight to the battery. Is the 4 gauge wire sufficient enough for the 140 amp alternator, or should I go for a thicker wire. The reason I have a 140 amp alternator is because of my high power sound system....

The last 4 gauge wire burned and caused my car to bogg out intermittently.

Any tips is welcome.
