Parking lights...
Parking lights...
Here's one for ya'll... My parking lights won't turn off. I have to pull the fuse for the parking lights / headlight motor [down]. to turn them off. It was fine when I came out to my car after work, then when I got home I turned the car off [and yes, the parking lights
] and to my dismay they were still on. Thankfully I noticed, or I would have need a jump to get to work the next day. If anyone has had this happen before, please let me know what I need to do to fix it. Thanks alot!

pull the taillight fuse in underdash fusebox, this feeds power to switch.if it shuts lights off,h-lite switch could be bad.if lites still stay on,could be a wiring problem. the color of the parking lights wire is brown, ground is black.good luck!
yeah, when I first noticed it I pulled the fuse and off it went. Then I pulled the dash cover and pulled the switch out completely with the fuse in they stayed on... I guess I'm checkin my grounds tomorrow in the light. thanks

check your wiring harness for burned/melted spots,a bad ground would make the lights dim,or not functional at all.something is still feeding it 12v.remember,it takes 12v positive AND ground for the lights to work, the brown wire melted together with a battery positive source would do just that.i'm thinking it could be the harness going directly into the switch from the firewall/fusebox because you say they go out when you pull the fuse for them
ok... lemme check if I'm thinking correctly (can't check yet, still @ work). If they turn off when the fuse is out, stay on when its in, but even when the switch is off... It's getting power from another line between the fuse and the switch. Right? cause if it was between the fuse and the light, it'd stay on no matter what... Hrmm. Well I guess I'm laying under the dash again
. Thanks. And if my reasoning, based on your comments, is wrong lol [which very well may be the case]... please correct me! Thanks again
