ok i figure the hatch light is supposed to be on once you pop the hatch. (i am new to the 3rd gen world so i dont know that much bout my car yet). however, when i close it, the light stays on. i dont THINK its supposed to do that. any suggestions/ideas as to my problem?

this may sound dumb but look down at the light and there should be a little black switch under it all the way left is off middle is on off when opend closed and all the way right is on all the time thats how mine is.
