going from a v-belt to a serp belt. what about the alt wire? mine has the big 10 ga. on back and 2 wires that plug in. the new style has the big 10 ga. on back,and only 1 wire that plugs in. what do i do with the extra wire from my cars harness?

 

Very little info about the alt, however in most cases you can simply tie it out of the way and disregard it. Most likely it is the "sense" wire. If the new wiring scheme does not support the three wire hookup just don't use it but insulate it because the sense wire has voltage, tape it or heatshrink it and tuck it out of the way.
