Only starts on fresh battery
Only starts on fresh battery
I have an 88 Camaro and over two months ago it developed a starting problem. The engine will turn over it just wont start, but everytime i throw my battery on a charger for a few hours and replace it it will start. I have used other batteries so I don't think that the battery is the problem. Today I just replaced the alternator and it did start however, it broke down and refused to start on me a few hours later. Any suggestions will be very appreciated.

Might try testing your starter, it may not have enough pull to crank the motor hard enough to fire.

If it cranks nice and fast but won't fire, check the ignition system. Something (coil, module) is probably going bad and the extra juice of a fresh battery over comes the faulty component.
