Spark plugs

Thanks Guys
Iam going out today to get and fit a set of NGK spark plugs , I looked them up on the net and they list BPR4FS to suit my car ,on another line I wondering if a bad oxy sensor could cause my problem the plugs are wet with fuel when removed the car blows no smoke at start up or any other time . I will fit the new plugs today and see if that helps I willlet you know how I go
regards Steve

i would change the o2 since you are running rich. it might be stuck on the rich side of things.

good luck

you may have a couple stuck or bleeding injectors.

put a pressure gauge on to see if your fuel presser falls off after shutting the car off. it should hold pressure for a good while (more than a few hours).

thanks

How are they fouling? The most common is oil fouling either by a worn engine(probably not with the mileage) or more likely a leaky intake manifold gasket. Changing plug brands won't make a hill of beans difference with a problem. Stock AC plugs easily last 25k or better. Pulling the plugs and inspecting them after you have the problem is the best way to get a handle on whats going on.

I've always had bad luck with ngk plugs. Set of A/C's in right now. Champions are way better than they used to be--especially the 'truck' plugs. Anyway, spark plugs fouling like you describe isn't the plugs fault--in fact you can probably clean them and reinstall. Figure out why they are fouling (like above, the injectors) and fix that problem.
