Accel Performance coil problems.
I have an Accel performance HEI distributor. It is only 1 and a half years old. As old as my engine. A couple of weeks ago I started havign a problem with the engine popping/gurgling at about 3800 and above. Could the coil be going bad? The carb has fuel and is tuned properly. Holley 600. There are no vaccum leaks. There is fuel. Same octane as usual and the timing is correct. The vaccum advance works correctly still to and the cap and rotor are about a week old and spotless. The plug wires are only a year old and the spark plugs are new and gapped correctly. Could my coil be worn out and not giving enough umph anymore? Let me know if you all have any ideas. The car usually runs excellent and has since I put in my hopped up 305 a year and a half ago. The car can usually rev to around 6000 to 6500 with no problems. (forged bottom end) Any ideas anyone?

Th plugs are all a couple weeks old and gapped to their usual gap. That's whats strange. I will probably check em again though. Besides seeming like it's still not getting enough fuel, thats the only other possible thing. No computers in the car.
