Ohms of Plug Wires ??

Can anyone here tell me what I all need and how you are suppose to check the ohms of your plug wires... I'm afraid a few might of gotten fried or might be bad. I already have two sets of wires so I figured if ones bad I'll just steal it outta the other set cause I don't wanna buy a whole new set when I already have two. I looked in my chilton and understand how many ohms they are suppose to be just needa know how to do it... thx..

Any decent digital voltmeter will have an ohms or resistance position. Place the meter in the ohms range and measure with one wire of the meter at one end of the plug wire, the other wire at the meter to the other end of the plug wire. I use an old Fluke 77 in my garage, but you can get a decent meter at Radio shack for a lot less. Typical resistance is about 5k ohms/ft if I remember correctly so every wire will read a little different if they are cut model specific. A decent DVM is a nice thing to have around, especially if you own a TG.
